Посольство Союза Советских Социалистических Республик в
Республике Мальта свидетельствует свое уважение Министерству
иностранных дел Республики Мальта и имеет честь предложить
обменяться Нотами следующего содержания:
"В итоге переговоров между представителями Министерств
иностранных дел Союза Советских Социалистических Республик и
Республики Мальта, состоявшихся в г. Валлетта в период с 27 марта
по 2 апреля 1985 года, Стороны договорились о следующих
дополнениях и уточнениях положений Договора о предоставлении
Правительством Республики Мальта Правительству Союза Советских
Социалистических Республик в долгосрочную аренду земельного
участка со зданием Эриел хаус от 22 января 1982 года.
1. Советская Сторона построит на арендованном земельном участке
за свой счет служебные и жилые здания с помещениями культурно-
бытового назначения, которые будут являться собственностью Союза
Советских Социалистических Республик.
2. Срок действия Договора об аренде от 22 января 1982 года (на
период 75 лет) может быть продлен на следующий 75-летний срок по
согласованию Сторон путем обмена соответствующими Нотами не
позднее, чем за год до истечения срока действия вышеупомянутого
Договора.
3. За год до прекращения первоначального или продленного срока
действия Договора об аренде от 22 января 1982 года Стороны
договорятся дополнительно об условиях передачи Мальтийской Стороне
зданий и сооружений, построенных за счет Советской Стороны и
являющихся ее собственностью, а также о сумме компенсации за
передаваемые здания и сооружения.
Настоящая Нота и Нота от того же числа Министерства иностранных
дел Республики Мальта являются неотъемлемой составной частью
Договора об аренде от 22 января 1982 года".
Посольство Союза Советских Социалистических Республик
пользуется настоящим случаем, чтобы возобновить Министерству
иностранных дел Республики Мальта уверения в своем весьма высоком
уважении.

The Embassy of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the
Republic of Malta presents its compliments to the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malta and has the honour to
offer to exchange the following Notes:
"As a result of the talks between representatives of the
Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Union of Soviet Socialist
Republics and the Republic of Malta which took place in Valletta
from 27th March to 2nd April, 1985, both Sides came to an
agreement to make the following additions and clarifications to
the Agreement dated 22nd January, 1982 on the granting by the
Government of the Republic of Malta to the Government of the Union
of Soviet Socialist Republics of the plot of land on which Ariel
House is situated in emphyteutical concession.
1. The Soviet Side will erect at its expense on the leased land
office premises and dwellings to be used for cultural and
residential purposes which will be property of the Union of Soviet
Socialist Republics.
2. The Agreement on the lease of 22nd January, 1982 (for the
period of 75 years) may be prolonged for another 75-year period
with the consent of both Sides by means of the exchange of
appropriate Notes not later than a year before the expiry of the
above-mentioned Agreement.
3. One year before the expiry of initial or extended period of
validity of the Agreement on the lease of 22nd January, 1982 the
Sides shall additionally agree on the conditions of transfer to
the Maltese Side of buildings and structures erected at the
expense of the Soviet Side, which are the Soviet property, as well
as on the amount of compensation for the buildings and structures
transferred.
This Note and the Note of the same date of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malta shall form an integral
part of the Agreement on the lease of 22nd January, 1982".
The Embassy of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics avails
itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Malta the assurances of its highest
consideration.
